I'm going to make this as short as possible. If you guys want more detail, I don't mind sharing.

So I had a crush, well, a crush in the 6th grade way. I knew this girl for two years from 5th to 6th until I moved and I think she had a crush on me for those years, which I had no idea, but looking back I think she did. So I left and moved school for the next two-three years and boom-pow, I end up in the same highschool as her. She asks if I remember her first day; My mind is fuzzy so I say "heh, yeah!" when I really didn't recognize her. I could tell she knew I was lying and had the disappointed look. I didn't have much communication with her since grade 9.

Now I'm in grade 11 and I'm starting to think more about her and I asked my friend, who's my link to her. She says that she's not interested in dating and hasn't for awhile. So I'm trying to get my friend to spark her attention by mentioning my name a few times. -Still waiting a response.

Do you guys think I should try to get with her, or just keep looking?

I don't see why you shouldn't pursue something with her, if you're both interested.

Why don't you just approach her? She obviously remembers you, it wouldn't be weird for you to approach her.

She does want to date now so respect her wishes...it won't hurt to get close to her as she could change her mind. What I mean is dont force dating right away.

Maybe start to know her better, you had a lot of time without talking to eachother, and then develop your friendship from there.
