no worries. it's not a stupid question to ask.
if you're in the pit (general admission), i suggest wearing shorts and a t-shirt or tank top because it gets really hot in between a bunch of people. if you're going to be seated (which i doubt since you're seeing i see stars), wear pants, a shirt and a hoodie.
when you're in the pit, just don't be a douche. don't hit people on purpose, watch where you move your arms/legs, apologize if you hit someone on accident. people are going to push you when the band comes on so just go with the crowd to avoid conflict, but if you have a good view, stand your ground. also, be careful if you mosh, don't get a concussion. :P
drink a lot of water and go to the bathroom before you go in. you'll be moving a lot and you'll get thirsty but you won't want to leave to get water or piss if you have a good view of the stage because you probably won't get that spot back.
just have fun, chat with people, make new friends. concerts are a blast.

if you're waiting outside, you could wear pants, but it gets boiling hot inside the pit. i wore leggings and a tank top to a concert i went to on sunday and i was still sweating. guys usually wear shorts or jeans to concerts. wear older sneakers too because i've no doubt in my mind that people are going to mosh at i see stars so you might get people stepping on your shoes on accident.
also watch out for people crowd surfing because if you don't support their weight, they'll fall on you. unless you're into it, stay away from the middle too because that's where people get more violent. if someone falls down, help them up really fast so they don't get hurt. if you keep your hands to yourself and you're aware of your surroundings, i'm sure you won't have a problem.

Honestly Thanks a lot, one more question I'm planning on maybe wearing maybe a plain black tshirt and cargo shorts, what do you think? I just don't want to stick out, thanks

FIRST OFF: the pit is not the whole crowd of people on the floor. When people say "the pit" they are referring to the mosh pit. I don't know if there will be any of that at an I See Stars concert, probably not.
For dress, don't worry about it at all, first and foremost you want to be comfortable. You won't stick out in a crowd of thousands of people. If it's a smaller club like venue, like The House of Blues, it'll be hotter but water won't be as expensive as an arena, where I've paid 7 bucks for a bottle.
Hope I helped at least a little bit. Happy concert-going!

not necessarily. I have received tickets where "pit" is in the seating location. it usually means the place where people stand.
there will definitely be a mosh pit at I see stars. there was a mosh pit at a fucking all time low concert I went to so lol, I have no doubt in my mind that there will be one for ISS.

Oh ok. I haven't ever seen that, usually it says 'floor' seating. Since there will be moshing, you might just join in and in that case PACK AND DRESS LIGHT!!! Also if you have any extra money BRING IT!!! You'll thank me when you're almost passed out of thirst. :D

Awh lucky! I wish ISS toured the UK :(
I think you just have to be aware at all times, other than that don't overthink things and just have fun. Clothes wise it doesn't matter, you'll have loads of people wearing different band shirts, different brands. Wear whatever you want but nothing too heavy because you will be boiling hot. Don't bring a jumper if you can help it, make sure you have water with you if you're planning to get quite near the front because although they hand out cups you usually end up getting really dehydrated. Usually you won't know where a pit is going to open up but if you don't want to mosh then just stay at the side of it and you'll be fine.
I hope the fans there are considerate because at some shows I've been to people don't look out for each other and it's needed. If you see someone fall down or if you see they're not feeling well then help them out. If someones crowd surfing then, again, help them over (even though they're annoying I know). Yeah I don't know how rowdy the crowd is going to get but I think that's most aspects covered. Have an awesome time!
