I am a little over 9 weeks pregnant and Monday I took eight birth control pills and twelve Ibuprofen to try to induce miscarriage. Nothing has happened. I'm not even feeling ill. Is this going to hurt my baby? Did it not work or is it too early to tell?

Taking that much medicine while you're pregnant has the potential to hurt your baby, but also you. From what I know it can cause a miscarriage, spotting, and cramping. But you can't really be sure it's going to cause any of these because it's different for any pregnancy. You should definitely go to the doctor.

it can hurt your baby and if you end up having to give birth to it, you don't want it to have any problems because of your choices. i would go to the doctor's and talk to them about it asap.

Go to the doctor. Ultimately the choice is yours if you don't want the baby. However there are far more appropriate ways to get an abortion. Taking a large amount of any medication could hurt or even kill you...

Why not just have an abortion? It's professional and safer.

That is what I'm thinking.

Why not keep the baby and put it up for adoption? Abortion is a lot more mentally stressful and emotionally harmful than giving birth

Sara,
This activity might not only hurt the child, it might also hurt you. It can also lead to problems for the child even after birth. This is very dangerous and risky. You cannot fathom the possible disastrous after-effects of this initiative. I honestly suggest you to stop this and visit a doctor ASAP.
And, I don't understand why a few of us here are telling you about abortion and adoption even when you're clearly talking about something completely different.
Take care.
