i'm about to come out of the closet as a bisexual to my mom. and i'm absolutely freaking out. i'm not telling my dad yet because i'm so not ready for his response. he's homophobic. but my mom is a bit more progressive on the topic. she's religious though and doesn't support gay marriage for that reason. i'm positive she won't get mad or just deny it but i'm still completely freaking out in fear of possible disappointment. and just the fact that i'm actually getting ready to tell her.

would LOVE any advice anyone can give me right now hahaha. thank you all so much in advance.

Hey there Exibit! :) I would be more than happy to help. First off, you should be happy to be who you are and not have to worry what people think because you are you. I would take it slow with her and say that what you are about to say is taking a lot of courage. Although my parents are very open to homosexuality that made my coming out to them quite easier, but just know that your parents love you no matter who you are and they should respect who you are whether you are Bi, Gay, or Straight! :) I'm sure things will go fantastic and i wish you the best of luck!

I'm glad it went well! It's very common for parents to not fully understand the concept of homosexuality, or in your case bisexuality. :) Not to worry though, over time she'll come to understand it and love you as she always has!

Congrats on coming out! :D Don't worry she will come to understand in time :) It took my parents 2 years to accept my sexuality but your mother's reaction sounds positive.
