OK I have a few questions. So I want a new job since Hershey fucked me hard. Anyways I want a new job and where I live we have a volunteer fire department my quests are How old do you have to be to join? Do you need to go through a training course? And is it really worth doing it?

Most Volunteer fire depts hire at the age of 18. You can even be in one during high school (Depending if they allow you to.) You do need FireFighter 1, which is usually PAID FOR by the department. Its pretty much a class, with lots of hands on. Some volunteer fire depts are Paid on call, so you get paid for each call you go on, others are complete volunteer. If you love fires and helping the community, do it. Im a fire explorer and cant wait to get hired with our POC dept.
