^Read the title of the thread, and please note that developers and publishers are two different things.
My favorite game devs are either Remedy (Max Payne 2, Alan Wake) or Zeboyd Games (Cthulhu Saves the World, Precipice of Darkness Episode 3).

Bethesda Game Studios, the developing branch of Bethesda Softworks
(Elders Scrolls franchise and Fallout 3) Bioware would be my second choice.

FIFA 14 was developed by EA Canada, and I never thought someone would like that evil money sucking firm.

Bioware absolutely nails everything I've comes to love in video games. Their passion for rich stories, vast worlds and complex characters, combined with role-playing and decision making ticks all the right boxes for me. My favourite game is still the 2003 Bioware classic, Knights of the Old Republic, a Star Wars game set several millennia before the Original Trilogy.

Bethesda, Bioware, Valve, Rockstar, and Paradox. (that I can think of)
Maxis in some cases (without much EA influence)
I used to like Square Enix but the quality has been slipping.
I also liked the developers that Activision has but Activision isn't treating them well and will rush them. Example: The infamous CoD series developed every year by either Infinity Ward or Treyarch. Activision always gives a One Year by November deadline which really effects the quality of the game.

Freaking Blizzard Entertainment!!
Such great games i just freaking love SC1 and SC2 tbh even if i didnt like e-Sports as much id still say those are two of, if not the favorite games!! Diablo one and two (diablo 3 was alright) and freaking rock n roll racing?? sooo awesome!! Not to Forget the WarCraft stuff :) (i kno Diablo stuff was another developer buuut i cant remember their Name for the life of me ^^ )
SquareEnix or rather Squaresoft back in the day b4 the merge and when they made awesome games like FF6 FF7 FF9 which are some of the games ive liked the most till now!!
David Kage with his Studio!! the Man is just a crazy golden god!! But i love him for his weird games!! ( Omicron: A nomad Soul! Fahrenheit! Heavy Rain! Beyond: Two Souls!! ) David Kage himself though seems to be a bit of an asshole :3
Bioware is awesome.....
ION Storm for the first Deus Ex!!
Uhm there are many more i like i think but i cant remember all the names :) But nothing Comes Close to Blizzard Entertainment eventhough they did go a bit south after the whole Activision Blizzard Thing :/

Idk i actually like the stories of Obsidian better!
And idk i think the choices are a bit like ohh u wanna be good or bad?? And there is always a good choice :) I personally enjoyed the Witcher 2 for not having too many good choices BUT i love Bioware aswell :) other than freaking The Old Republic ugh...

Idk all CoDs (not counting Ghost since that was awfull) were good CoD games i mean not stellar but really freaking good CoD games... So if u liked CoD style games then u really loved those... only recently with Ghost it got terrible!! (btw i personally dont really enjoy CoD all that much^^ ) Ohh and i think that they have 2 years to develop their game because while Treyarch release their game Infinity Ward already worked on their game a whole bunch... Thats why u have Modern Warfare and Black Ops and not both Developers making new Modern Warfare titles... since when the new Modern Warfare is out Treyarch already are too far into development to adjust :)

By far Naughty Dog, like seriously, the Uncharted Series is by far my most favorite video game series, Naughty Dog decided to mess around with zombies....and made arguably the best apocalyptic game ever Naughty Dog is the reason why i'll be getting the PS4
2nd place goes to Rockstar

I liked the tone it set you in, The Last of Us is more set on emotions and the actual feel of the apocalypse rather than killing zombies,
Like one of my favorite parts in the game was when you were in the tunnel in Utah or something and it was infested with clickers and the other zombies, like make one bad move and youre most likely dead, I was hiding behind this crate and one clicker came so close i actually felt nervous, like i never felt actual real emotion towards games like that

I kno i kno!! But thats what i felt wasnt THAT good in The Last of Us after the beginning tbh ^^ it was too much on Rails and idk it didnt convey the whole ohh shit there are Zombies and we are helpless feel i want from my Zombie Games ^^ I dont Need to be killing that many Zombies but it didnt feel THAT good for a Zombie game idk ^^
I like other Developers better idk xDD i hope u dont mind ^^

Rockstar for Red Dead
Bethesda for Elder Scrolls
Valve for Left 4 dead
EPIC Games for Gears of war
Westwood for Command and Conquer (As if no one has mentioned these yet!!)
Netherrealm for Mortal Kombat
Game Freak for Pokemon - Come on, people!
Pandemic for Star wars Battlefront
And even though I hate Battlefield, their devs; DICE will be bringing out Battlefront 4 in Summer 2015 which is obviously going to be awesome!
