It just seems that because I'm an only child my life is crap. I get bullied a lot, have family problems, my relationships... I feel all of this is because of me being an only child... I don't know what to do. I just want to be happy, and I feel the only way to stop it is to get a girlfriend. But it just doesn't happen. All the girls i've liked just reject me all together and its even more difficult due to all my current problems. :cry:. I'm just not sure what to do. It's to the point that I feel that I can't be happy anymore. Please help... :(

Only children wish they had brothers and sisters so they have someone to talk to.

People with brothers and sisters wish they were an only child. The thing is it's lonely being an only child. That and if your parents have problems in your family to the point the whole family is falling apart other than your parents relationship then it's even more difficult. That's the situation I'm in. Now you know why I want to get a girlfriend, but no one seems to like me back, to the point I feel I have no friends.

I honestly really do understand what you mean, so many times my family has started crumbling into ruins and then my mother and grandmother pour all their problems out at me and why? Because I'm the only child. Yeah it sucks but in the end I think it made me a stronger person, it's lonely but knowing you can manage on your own isn't all that much of a bad thing. Stop looking for a girlfriend and just start looking for a friend because that's all you really need, one honest and decent friend that you can talk to :hug3:

Idk, I'm an only child and I read kids talking about
how their siblings make their life a living hell all the
time in these forums. Some have great relationships,
but for others it sucks really bad.
So sometimes I wish I had a sib and other times I am
really thankful I do not.

Natalie is right. Look for a honest and trustworthy friend instead of a girlfriend. A very nice friend will certainly be like a brother...;)
And Ezra is correct in his arguments; relationship is relative. Maybe if u had a sib, it wouldn't be great, who knows?
