People drift apart, grow. How you initially met and kept in contact could change. If you're in high school, classes, "cliques", etc., change and that's one of the periods when people, sometimes for the worst, change the most. You're all discovering who you are and the path down which you're headed. If you had a good friendship with this person, I'd be the one to take initiative to speak again.

It's life.. people go separate ways, you learn about those friends, and just drift.... it happens, and it sucks, i know. but if you really want to keep them in your life.. you've got to make that bridge and cross it. A simple hey can lead to a WHOLE bunch of things. :)

People change and as a result, they drift apart. I used to be best friends with this kid who just suddenly changed and started hanging around with other kids one day. Eventually, me and him drifted. Nowadays, I don't talk to him at all anymore.

I see these things happen overnight too. I can't really understand why - but people can very suddenly shut you out of their lives for one simple action, even if it wasn't even caused by you. :what:

Things like that happen, and people change. :( It's the sad reality of life. I'm guessing you lost a friend recently? I'm sorry, that's hard. I hope you aren't feeling too down about it!
