My little cousin of around 8 always asks me "where do babies come from?".
It's not as easy as it sounds, as he always gives follow-up questions.
I answered
"From your mommy's tummy"
He asked
"How do those babies get there?"
I answered
"When your daddy's seed meets your mom's"
He asked
"Where do those seeds come from?"
I answered
"Somewhere"
He asked
"Where? I wanna see!"
I answered
"You need to be older first"
He asked
"I wanna see now. Where?"
I answered
"*sigh* Somewhere on your parents' bodies"
He asked
"Do I have it?"
I answered
"Yes."
He asked
"Really? Show me!"
At that point, I found a reason to excuse myself and leave. His innocence is really cute, but kinda pressuring to answer those questions.
But any tips on how to explain sex to child?

I would have said, "that is a question little boys need to ask their daddy".
I know if I was a dad and had practiced telling my son that stuff, I would
be mighty upset if he said, "cousin Luis told me all about it already!".

I agree with Ezra, you should tell him that it is something very special that his parents need to tell him, and not you.

His parents will tell him about all of those things when they feel he is ready to hear them. It is not really your place to do it for them, and I can imagine that they would be upset f you sis.

I'm a guy. :P Should be "bro".
Anyway... In case I get confronted, I can justify by explaining that I didn't delve into the horny stuff... Just explained the "seeds"... :P

If it were my little cousin, I would lie and tell him I have no idea what any of that stuff means and he should ask mum or dad.

There are cultures on this planet, where sexuality is not hidden from the children. Where it is usual that parents have sex with their kids in the room. I think in those cultures children deal with sexuality as a natural part of life, whereas in our european/northamerican culture it is tradition to hide sexuality from children and then shock them with the truth.

I was in the same situation with my 6 year old cousin. I just said that I didn't know.

You screwd up! If your cousin is not an atheist :D you should have told him that Man asks god to put a baby into the woman's belly and then after a few months it comes out!

If he's 5 years old I could understand but at 8 years old I don't find out the problem of telling him that the penis enters the vagina and moreover when he's asking specifically.

I'd probably tell him to go talk to his parents. It's one of those things where you don't want to tell him anything his parents don't want to know or overstep any boundaries.
Maybe you can talk to his parents or give them a call and let him know that he's been asking all of these questions and maybe it's time for them to have a small talk with him.
