Things you hate about your classes

I hate it all time when this teacher keeps talking like 5 minutes after the bell rang.
Also those ones that get so excited or in a hurry and they just talk so fast that I can't write down any notes and it makes me so nervous.

My grievances for classes are pretty much exclusive to my classes for this year -

APUSH is an incredibly boring class, despite a friendly teacher. We just don't do anything except for talk, maybe take a few notes. Rarely do we ever use the chalkboard or the Smartboard. It's just not very engaging.

I hate how we're assigned so many projects for biology. We rarely ever get normal assignments. I'm not a project person, so I'm not doing very well.

And I have no friends in my sciences, so biology, chemistry, and physics class aren't that easy to get through, even if the classes themselves are fine.

That's all. And, of course, I don't like the general things; being let out late, for example.

I have a boring ass AP Literature class where all we do is get homework that she doesn't even put in until the day the grading period closes.
I hated my chemistry sub. That LTS managed to completely destroy my chemistry grade, going from a B- to an E today. I'm pissed beyond words because I turned the work in, and somehow my shit is missing. I still like the class though.
My Engineering Tech class is still on my schedule because I enjoy having some of my friends there to chat with sometimes. And the Minecraft :P

My AP US Government and Politics class is like this, and I find it very engaging, because we have full class discussions on how the material can be related to the course, as well as some current events stuff.

Yeah, a bit of a drag, especially the day I have it first period. But I hope it's worth it in the long run. And it does perk up a bit when current events come up - my teacher's passionately feminist and liberal. Hearing her talk about current events is reassuring.

- My social science teacher is extremely biased in her marking, and all she does is give us textbook pages to read and questions to answer. Even though, social science is meant to be an engaging, discussion oriented class.


I can write a 10 page essay on this, but I'd rather keep it to a minimum.

The people. all the other students. I simply don't give a fuck how fucking rich you are or how many times you have gotten high or drunk. Is it too much to ask to hold proper interesting discussions in high school with people who aren't teachers? because the only people who i can actually work my brain with are my teachers. Except P.E. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the only days we get to play a sport, and even then we have to run for 5 minutes first. Wednesdays and Fridays we just run the whole period, and on Mondays we do some kind of workout.

I guess the only TEACHER I have a problem with is my US History class. My teacher's a really 'lax guy, but I can't stand the structure of the class. All we mostly do is either listen to him lecture, have group discussions on content from the lecture/homework, or textbook work. It's not that it's difficult it's just so boring.

On a side note about my school in general, they did some really poor planning when it came to moving classrooms around. They vacated the old Math Building because the new Math Building was complete, yet they don't bother to move the 13 classes in the "V" building that's in the farthest corner of the fucking parking lot as so that the old math building would be put to good use, and that there's more parking spaces.

I hate the students in every class, no exceptions.

Anatomy - The teacher just gives us pages to answer. Jfc woman this is a COLLEGE level class, there should be SOME type of discussion. Whenever she discusses something, its about something unrelated. Her tests are too easy but somehow I'm the only person who gets above a 75 on all of them. Teacher picks on me a lot which is a shame.

Economics - Great fun and engaging teacher. Really lax with work but I hate how the curriculum is so boring. I enjoy the discussion but I want to do research and hands on stuff too.

Home Ec - another teacher that picks on me. Boring class. Full of rich kids.

Pre Calculus - hardest class I take (which isn't saying much). Teacher is a sweetheart but doesn't go in depth enough unless I seek one on one help which most of the time I don't have time for.

English - The teacher is nice but I feel uncomfortable around him (I cannot explain it) and he is devoid of any substance and creativity (he's the polar opposite of me in a nutshell.) All we do in the class is read and discuss. The class is full of morons who don't know what I mean when I say that half of Shakespeare's characters are sociopathic. I'd rather do a project where I can use my creativity insteadof writing summaries about a boring novel.

lol I used to live in Romania .and if the teacher wasn't there in the first few min of class .all the students would just leave or do what ever they wanted to for the rest of the period.. it might be diff in UK .but I don't think so cuz I have some friends there that do the same thing :)

Teachers who don't let you talk, seriously, we're 16/17/18 don't treat us like kids
Substitute teachers who have such a different manner from the normal teacher, making the class rubbish
Double periods with no short break between the two to just take a rest
The younger kids - half of them in my school are out of control, its really bad when you see them giving good teachers you like a whole load of hastle
The younger kids messing about in the corridors, you just wanna punch them

When the heating/cooling system doesn't work - in a 5 year old school, not good

My histroy class used to be really good. We got a new tacher, and yes she's a really nice person and I have no issue with her, she changed what we were doing for the final topic and I find it quite boring

I do English Literature, English Language, Sociology and Psychology for my A Levels, so:

In Literature, I hate how my teacher has such favourites! There are only five of us (I'm the only boy) and she adores two of them and doesn't seem to much like me and the girl I sit next to. I think it's because I don't get great grades for her, it's really frustrating because at GCSE I got nothing below A* in my exams or coursework, but now I'm getting like a D for most things (my coursework is a B though!) :(
In Sociology, we have two teachers and one is amazing and so so lovely but the other one is sitting in for our usual other teacher who is on maternity leave, and she's horribly old fashioned and just generally very odd. She makes us sit in absolute silence to take notes from the PowerPoint, but she gives us the PowerPoint on a handout so there's nothing to write except copying what's already on there!

The other two don't really have any problems!

-My relgious education teacher refuses to teach my class so we've had a sub for 4 months and we have our exams in 3 months time.
-My science classes are shit, as in the kids in them. They're bullies and twats and refuse to work. My teachers have actually complained to their superiors about them and stopped doing practicals with them because they're such dickheads.
-Electronics is more towards AS level than GCSE. My class is the first time my teacher has taught the course and he doesn't know anything and refers us to the 'booklet' when we need help. Basically it's the only class I'm properly failing.

Yeah they're the main things. You have shit like too much coursework for art and graphics or the fact that in the UK we legally have to have compulsary PE 2 hours a week.

I get so jealous of Americans because from they get to pick subjects they want to do whereas for us the core subjects are compulsary. There seems to be a lot more leeway in the education system in the US. Other than the fact that if you fail a year you get held back but god damn I'd do anything to have that implemented in the UK. I wouldn't have half the amount of lazy shits that don't want to learn in my classes then.
