this may sound weird but some nights (like tonight) im too scared to fall asleep.For some reason im convined that if i fall asleep i wont wake up. Is this something anyone else deals with?

At times, when I am really in a mess, I try to fool myself by hoping to fall asleep and never get up again.

Sometimes, but I just usually play around on my IPAd until I'm super tired.

that happens to me sometimes, normally i just go for a run, i get exhausted, go home, have a shower and then im relaxed i can sleep without worries

The fear of death is universal and timeless. It's present inside each of us, consciously or not.
Sleep may represent for you kind of a loss of control...
But you have to tell yourself that this loss is REALLY beneficial to your body and your mind !
It's a hard path trying to lessen the fear of death because it means accepting what you deeply are.
Are you self-confident ? If not, maybe you should work on it to solve the problem :)
I know it's not easy but that may be the key.

Yeah that happens to me sometimes. I have to sleep with the light on now because if I don't I have nightmares about being killed extremely violently.
