Sure it is, the last camp I went on I was in a cabin with 3 other boys, 1 slept naked, 1 slept shirtless and me and my friend Ethan slept in out trunks. So, yeah it's OK.

Op didn't ask if it's simply okay to sleep in boxers and without a shirt on. He wanted to know if it's okay to do that "in front of someone he didn't know".

As other people have mentioned before me, in theory, there should be nothing wrong with sleeping without a shirt on, and in your boxers. From the way you worded the question, I get a feeling that YOU, on your side, do think sleeping in boxers is okay.

So, in my opinion, whether you should do this or not all comes down to who the person who's in the room with you is. Now, since you haven't seen the guy before, it'd be tough to judge whether he'd be cool with you sleeping in boxers or not.

Here's a task for you: When you see the person first, try to have a casual chat with him and get to know him better. Then, judging from his personality, you'll be able to tell if he'd be cool with what you're planning to do or not.

Yeah, I have been at loads of camps, trust me, being shirtless will seem like nothing if they start playing 'Danger Wank' like people at our camps used to lol! :)

But seriously, being shirtless is fine, although it may be a little chilly if you are camping in the winter... :)
