Greatly exagerated, lol.
Every year they either find a dead body in it or somebody drowns or gets hit by an oncoming boat.

Nice. It's not cool in the sense of the poor people who are getting killed, but it's cool that you actually have something that interesting near you.

Some nice pics there, you seem to have a good eye for composition.
My favourite has to be the one looking out of the car window, I like the obscure angle and also the general colours of it.
