I found this FWIW:
Minors will not get into trouble with the law for watching porn. Most concerned authorities will remove any child from the means of access (removal from the home if need be) and demand counseling.
You see it wouldn't just be you but also your parents who could get into
trouble when you are caught performing an illegal act in the home. They
could be charged with neglecting to supervise you properly etc.

I don't really think that you can get persecuted for it, i mean. WHo doesn't watch porn? But then again, if you're feeling agitated about it, just delete your history or go inprivate if you don't want to get caught.

It's similar to minors having sex, both are illegal. However, the police cannot observe every bedroom, and to the aspect of porn, every computer. They also don't know the age of who's on it. Porn sites have the age barrier so that way they aren't responsible for underage kids watching, yet it's lenient enough to let somebody through with the click of a button.
Yes, it's illegal for a minor to watch porn, but your chances of being caught are slim to none, and the only way you would is a police officer stepping into your room.

Even if it was illegal, they really wouldnt do anything about it. I think the police have other higher criminal activity, than people watching porn.

Porn is certainly not the prime illegal concerns of the authorities.
Well, porn affects the configuration of the brain. So it better, we as teenagers, to be responsible of our lifestyle.
Anyone will agree that porn is good as long as you know how to use it.
So I don't think pornographic is much of a concern UNLESS you forcefully show it to someone.

I don't think Yahoo answers is a suitable source to get legal information on. :P

TBH, I think it's more the site that would get in to trouble for showing it to you than he other way round. The biggest (and slightly more realistic issue) is what would your parents do if they catch you!

And this place is?
But yeah, the whole scenario I set up was probably completely inaccurate and way too far fetched.

I bet if the police went around every teenagers computer, 99.9% of them would have watched porn sometime in there life. This is very unlikely to happen though!!!

I did some research. This would be up to each state's laws so there could be 50 different answers. Basically watching porn is not illegal and is protected by the constitution. Making porn is also legal as long as no one under age is participating. The constitution does not place any age limit on the first amendment so technically a 6 year old watching porn would not break any law. However as pointed out above, a parent who knows and permits a minor to watch porn could be violating laws about child abuse, neglect or other laws related to protecting minors from harm. It would be the parent who could be in trouble depending on the state and the circumstances.

I believe this is true. However, it is illegal to sell a minor pornographic material.

I believe the crime is giving porn to a minor, as far as the minor it says its just not appropriate for minors.

With the internet being what it is and kids being what they are, some will find porn online and the parents will never know. How may of today's adults grew up sneaking peeks at their dad's Playboy collection or other porn.
Most porn is really just a multi-media presentation of normal human sexuality. I think most of the horror at the thought of a kid seeing porn is in the minds of the adults who forgot their own curiosity when they were kids.

I doubt the cops are policing every computer or would know who's on it at any given moment, so really you're probably fine to be watching porn. They do have those things you have to click to prove you're over eighteen, but those are easy enough to get around. Hell I've been watching porn since elementary school and never got in trouble. XD

I'm sure the law has better criminals to catch than you for watching that one kinky video.
On a more serious note, I'm sure all those warnings are there to stop younger kids being scarred for life. Or older kids. Not sure anymore.

While there are more serious crimes to chase, yes there are morality and indecency laws in the United States which make it illegal for a minor to view pornography (the reason for site entry warnings) and illegal to provide it (parents looking the other way or websites allowing minors in, another reason for the warnings)
While there has to be a reason to investigate (like suspicion of abuse or a complaint,) the parents/guardians/anyone who provided or allowed for it is legally liable for a minor viewing pornography

The police has better things to do than sweep the internet to find horny boys and girls watching adults having sex with eachother. You don't have to worry.

Absolutely nothing. Only thing I would be worried about is my parents finding out. Police have more important things to worry about

though porn is legal to produce and own, any minor child caught in possession of such would not be prosecuted however, the adults in charge of said child would probably face a fine at the minimum, BUT this is saying anyone ever gets caught. thanks to the advent of the internet, porn is available to anyone anywhere at anytime, so...

What... It's illegal in the US? Just read the Danish law; It barely even mentions (regular) pornography as a paragraph, though it clearly states that child-porn is strictly illegal. It's an interesting prohibition but sadly it also means I can't help you, as I can't draw on any personal experience on the matter. :/

I do, my parents know and don't care because they would rather me be happy. All they say is when my laptops break I HAVE to have new ones because they don't want the technicians to know I've been watching stuff on it as I download the videos for when my internet is gone because it can be a bit tempimental :p if I spelt that right which I don't think I did...

it might be illegal but i don't think anybody would do something about it.
worst case scenario is probably that you get your computer/phone or what you saw it on taken away.
