Do humans start out as athiest ?

This is something I was wondering do humans start out as athiest ?

Think about it as a new born baby we don't know squat other then hey i'm hungry so give me you milk bottle mom, hey i'm sleeply, or hey I pooped or peed in my diapers,beyond that we dont; know much,so how arew w egoing to know if any form of Gods and/or Goddesses exist?

I feel we are born atheist not believing in any form of deity until we are older and become more aware of things and have these things taught to us by parents,other family etc etc!

Intersting question. As a baby, you dont even know anything yet, and dont even know what an athiest is. Therefore we arent classified as anything, until we are raised. There is a biblical reference to this somewhere (I dont think its baptism...it might be, but theres another one) that references this and what would happen.

I'd agree with this. We don't know what religion really is until after we've been brought up in a certain one (or not) and already having faith (or not).

I used the term athiest because I couldn't think of anything else.

This, they wouldn't qualify as atheist since they don't know about any religion, so they wouldn't be anything.

The idea of religion is man made, so it's something they would learn from the people around them.

Basically yes, because as baby, you don't really believe in any god.
