This is got to be embarassing for the girls but if im wrong please go ahead and lock this thread.
but what exactly is the use of a sanitary pad?
it says in ads that it absorbs more water than another one
but is it really for the vaginal fluids or is it for girls who are on a period?

Basically, it absorbs the blood when a girl has a period. When it starts getting full it needs to be changed to another one. Simple =P

What do you mean by protection?

I am thinking they mean protection from leaking into their pants and being able to be seen by others. The pads provide protection from leakage onto pants.

There are two different kinds of "pads" as such;
One is called a sanitary pad/towel and it is for using when you have your period to absorb blood and....stuffs :eyebrow: lets not get into too much detail...:P
(Tampons do the same thing, except they do it internally, as opposed to externally.)
The other is called a panty liner and it is for use when you dont have your period to absorb vaginal fluids (these are perfectly normal). Not everyone uses these, its a personal opinion.
Hope that makes sense, if not, feel free to ask :)
