Someone who's religious considers another person an infidel if he/she doesn't follow the same religion or has no religion at all.

Well, I am slowly starting to follow the Slavic Pagan faith. There is no real hatred against other religions, but in the Middle Ages you had Slavic Pagans defending against Christian holy wars, which made the Slavs hate Christian preachers and rulers. Many converted for their safety, but some like the Paganians followed the old ways to their graves.

We have never used the term "infidel". The first I ever heard of it was in relation to Islam, and I haven't heard that term being used outside of Islam. But I understand through research that the term has been used by Christians in the past to mean non-believers and heretics. In the culture I grew up in, the term was never used.

Infidel is something that relates to me to the spanish word "infiel", which means either lack of fidelity (loyalty) or a person who doesn't follow the faith considered as the true faith.
