we have known each other for like 5 yrs. we get along very well i make her laugh a lot and she says i am so nice, funny, intelligent. in our science lab when we sit with our friends in our group there are not enough chairs so we share one and she likes sitting next to me. we see each other in the hall and we say to each other " hi best friend " a bit corny but whatever. today she was touching my hair and sayin she loves my hair. She is great too very pretty, thin, caring, a bit quiet and sassy. So what do you think this could be ? What should i do to further this friendship into maybe something else ? etc?

My close friendship turned into something
else when we entered puberty. It sounds
like it is going well for you and progressing
nicely. You know her so well you should know
better than anyone where to take things.
Just go slow easy and natural.

I don't want to break your bubble, but if you've known her for five years and nothing happened because you didn't make a move yet, nothing will happen between you. Especially if she calls you her "best friend". You're friendzoned. Sorry.

From experience:
I've noticed that girls use pet names (such as best friend)
if constantly used, to show affection.
If she enjoys your company, and likes to sit close to you,
it could, or could not mean that she wants to be with you.
It could also mean that she just feels comfortable with you, (as a best friend)
Only way to find out is to make a move.
But you're chancing messing up a good friendship..

Goodluck :)

I'd say go for it !! Seems like she likes you. I would know, I'm a girl.
