Body hair

Here's a question I've been thinking about recently - why do we develop body hair when we reach puberty?

Our body hair is used to protect us from cold, essencially, and its growing is controlled by hormones, testosterone and LH in the case of boys, progesterone and FSH in the case of girls, I think.
