I dont know how anyone else feels but I really dont want to grow up. Its not that im dreading being old, its just i want to go back and relieve all the fun times i had as a child. I cry myself to sleep nearly every night thinking abouy this. Anyone else feel the same?

Use to feel that way but then I realized there is nothing you can do to stop you from growing up

Yeah, you're not alone. I would love to go back to being, like, seven again. Things were so much less complicated back then. But, as Kiara said, there's no point in dwelling on it because everyone ages and there's nothing that can be done to stop it. It's just life.

I feel the same way sometimes. My life was wonderful 7 years ago. Sure my quality of life is great, but I feel really sick and tired.

I wish I could go back a little and fix some things from earlier in my life too. And yeah, I'm getting to that age where I'd rather be younger than older :P

Growing up is hard for me because it is
transitioning myself out of fairly severe
autism. I actually worry more about slipping
back into the way I was when I was younger.
But at the same time it is so hard at times trying
to continue breaking out I just want to fold back into myself.

This ^ I agree to.
Don't fall to nostalgia either, it makes the past look much better than it actually is. The best year in my life so far is 2013, because I find everything to be getting better as I get older. Can't really explain it, it's like everything makes more sense. But yes, there is less innocence and fewer new things out there.

I do think like this from time to time but then I realise, I had more problems when I was younger than I do as an adult. I loved being a child most days, sure it'd be nice to be that young again but it can't happen. I never wanted to grow up, I didn't even think I'd make it past my 14th birthday but now look at me, I did it and I'm glad that I did. Growing up, it's hard and I won't say that it isn't but you have to let go of the past and live in the future because it won't help you to keep wishing to be something you're no longer not.

Your not alone. I've always wished I could go back as a child and keep all my adult intelligence so I could have does something to fix my problems and enjoyed being a kid. I never got to just be a kid so I feel like I missed out BC of my self.
But oh well we all get old. So make the most out of every day!

I'm going to quote a very wise man here:
"Life is not about Growing up but about continually growing!"
------
Anton Szandor LaVey
In short the man was saying life is not about growing up but continually growing, keep that childlike aspect of your self alive that way you'll continue to learn new things.( this doe not give you the right to act like a 2 year old cause mom didn't get you that new iphone though)
Face it peeps most people that act like they have grown up ,learn nothing new they become dead on the inside and dull acting!
Worrying and whining about not wanting to grow up is the wrong way toward life!

Yeah, I remember when I couldn't wait to grow up, but now that I only have a year of school left it really scares me, I feel like I'm struggling enough already without having to take full responsibility for my self.. The thought that I have to do something with my life instead of sitting around doing nothing all day is just.. I don't even know :/ It's scary I guess

Yes and no. I mean, I don't want to grow up anymore than I already have, I'm scared of the future and what it's got in store for me, but at the same time, I would definitely not want to grow up again.

I wished I was younger again until I moved away from home, now i'm glad i'm older. That's just that awful transition stage where you feel you're too old to live as a child but too young to live alone and it's awful. But it ends.

I feel the same, well.. I already feel "old"
Life was so much more fun when I was 10-13. Mentally, I still feel that age (in some ways) but physically I'm 17, which sucks.

oh yes, for sure that happens to me too. Brutal, isn't it. It makes you feel like an old man when you should feel like a teenager. Good news though. I can only speak from age 14, so I don't know how valid this is, but have you noticed that people get more and more mature until age 15 or 16, which are really boring years, and after that get less mature until 20 or so, and after that get more and more mature until about 25, which are still pretty fun years. You didn't post your age, but let me guess that your 15 or 16? Don't worry still lot's more fun yet to come.
