Oh metal, how art thou so beautiful yet so misunderstood? I know so many metal bands that it's probably unhealthy. I don't see how it's actually possible to have a favourite band of any genre, especially one as diverse as metal. There are a few bands which hold a permanent place in my blackened heart however...

One such band single-handedly spear-headed a new era in progressive metal, yet they remain misunderstood and forgotten. It is truly sad that a band like Fellsilent could be so easily forgotten. Just listen to the beauty...

If by Dillinger, you mean the Dillinger Escape Plan, then yes, I like them. Prancer is one of my favorites from them! I wouldn't consider myself a true "metalhead", being it's not the only genre I listen to, but every once in a while, ill listen to it. My taste in music ranges from Skillet and Three Days Grace to Cannibal Corpse, Black Dahlia Murder, and everything in between. Hi Vampiric Proxy. I was just wondering why you enjoy this type of metal? I can understand in a sense how it's beautiful, with multiple rhythms, fast paced, and the skill in order to scream like that. I just dont understand how people "feel" this metal, like in rap songs you can physically feel the beat flow into your body. Do you pay attention to the lyrics more? When I'm trying to actually feel this metal, it's like I'm having ventricular fibrillation.
