So I am a freshman at a Catholic School. I'm not Catholic. Everyone knows it. I'm the only student who is not Catholic and I get picked on my students, teachers, and even parents by it. During Mass one day the guy was speaking about how Protestantism is the worst fake christian group out there and how we're all going to hell. I came unglued and stormed out. I don't even know what do do anymore guys. :C

I went to catholic school to for a few years and had this same issue. I wasnt really picked on but always made to feel like being "non-catholic" was a bit inferior. If I were you I would find someone in that school who will take you seriously and get them to get your back so your voice gets heard because that type of stuff is unacceptable.

I feel for you, and it is tough being a non-Catholic in a Roman Catholic school. With that being said, many Catholic schools have large numbers of non-Catholics enrolled in them, and I seriously doubt every single teacher, staff, and administrator at your school is Roman Catholic. There are a lot of Protestants who go to Catholic schools, and there are not a small number of Protestants who work at Catholic schools. I would look up a teacher who is Protestant at your school and ask their opinion on your situation. At least give your counselor the opportunity to give you a hand especially with the person who is giving you a hard time.

You should remind the jerk who's giving you a hard time that the Pope has no trouble meeting with Protestants, and this current Pope has gone out of his way to reach out to all sorts of non-Catholics most especially Protestants. The guy who was giving you a hard time is not only a twit, but he also is pretty much going against everything Pope Francis is doing by reaching out to all sorts of Christians. That fool who gave you a hard time is more or less knocking on his own Pope when he rips on your being Protestant because the Pope in Rome regularly meets with non-Catholics.

Personally, I would give your school some more time, and don't get intimated by the whole religion thing. Just be yourself and not the Protestant girl in the Catholic school. In the end of the day, there is not a lot of differences between Catholics and Protestants, and don't let individual morons make you feel unwelcome when you have just as much right to be at your school as anyone else. At least your parents are willing to pay for you to have a good education unlike some parents out there who just don't care if their kids go to school or not or if their kids even have what is needed to do well in school.
