I don't know. I just don't. Most do it because it helps. But honestly, it puts so much more stress on you. I started four months ago. Three weeks after I started, my counselour (yes, I have my very own counselour. -_- ) Saw my arm and called my family. My whole family (including Aunts, Uncles, Cousins , DISTANT FUCKIN RELATIVES I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW EXISTED) knew about it. They babied me and then sometimes treated me like shit, saying I'm doing it for attention. Fyi. I don't give a shit what you think, I never wanted you to know in the first place. But I do it, because, to tell you the truth, physical pain hurts so much less than the actual pain inside you. It feels good to know that other things can't hurt you as much as you're already being hurt. That is why I do it. The only reason why I do it. But I'm gonna have to stop soon. Sorry you got called an attention seeker. Its just part of being a cutter I guess. Sooner or later someone finds out and says that. The thought from your relatives to baby you is a nice gesture but if its unwanted say so to them. Just tell them it would help to leave you alone.

Yeah, I guess so. The only one who doesn't baby me is my oldest brother who is 22. He usually tells my family to back off if he's around so, I'm grateful for him. Thanks for the advice though.

That's cool that he tells them to give it a break. I would rather be babied than tormented but I don't think Id like it either lol. Maybe if it was one or two people who really cared but everyone? Idk abt that, being picked on gets pretty sickening but you can go to far the other way as well.

I hhope ur bro can keep them back lol
