The idea of seeing your friend might have been the turn off. Sometimes you'll be surprised at what you find attractive and what you don't.

It may be because you are not used to it. Just because your friend's pubes turned you off does not mean that someone else's won't turn you on. I don't really know if your curiosity flash is ending, but you still have time to figure out what your sexuality is.
