Man is it hard to take pride in being a christian after what I just read. The producer of "The Exorcist" received death threats from christian extremists (don't try to tell me that they don't exist) just because the material for the film was against their "code". A little girl gets possessed, BIG DEAL!! Just because the movie doesn't suit what you believe in does NOT give you the right to threaten someone to the point where they have to hire fricken body guards. Wow, people are just stupid. I know what you guys are thinking right now, YOU'RE WRONG: there is a fine line between standing up for your beliefs and being an emotionally controlled freak-ass. What do you guys think of these demented infidels? (yea, I totally just did that. Muslims can thank me later ;) )

Agreed. These are some of the people who see things as absolute and only from their perspective.

People take things in a screen way too seriously, be it The Exorcist or violent video games, none of that is real and shouldn't be treated as if it was.

Seriously? That's like with the problems some people have with the Harry Potter books. "Oh no, it has witchcraft and magic in it, it's ruining our children, and our children are learning witchcraft from the books! Therefore, Harry Potter is evil!" Bah! It's a freaking fictional book series!
This goes the same for that movie. I totally agree with you

I don't expect you to believe it, I expect you not to refute it when you know I believe it. I never refute anything of belief of anyone else. Comment, yes, refute and fan a flame, never.
Just keep that in mind. I know you mean no harm, but please.

I agree it shouldn't be creating death threats but please, I do know what I am talking about.
