In response to britishboys' locked topic, I must say that there is much truth behind his idea. Men and Women both have PHYSIOLOGICAL differences that CANNOT be adjusted for that are most certainly not the result of social barriers. It is well known that a man naturally (on average) will possess more physical strength then a women, along with larger cranial capacity. Whether this means more intelligence is not certain, but many intelligence tests offer evidence that it does. I am not saying that women should be automatically born into the kitchen! I am not saying that at all. Women and men are very, very capable of interchanging roles, roles that should have never been crystalized in the first place! An example would be that men generally have more strength in some muscle groups, which would make them suitable for working as say, a construction worker. This in no way should ever imply that a female has no opportunity in such a field, even if the male to female ratio rises to 500:1! If financial barriers prevent women from being hired (for instance, special needs that women may require that would lower profit for that company) Then that is 100% up to the company!
Another thing I must rant about at the moment, while I am so worked up, is the desire for certain companies to maintain a minimum volume of a certain group in the workplace. This group may be women or visible minorities (for instance, African American people). This is usually done to withhold the hell born notion that everybody is equal, which in fact, they aren't!! If it turns out that 86% of the government is white males, then so what? If a certain group is simply less fit to operate in such a circumstance, then why force them into it? If this division arises due to discrimination against a certain group, then we must end it through a different means!! It's all so silly!
All in all, people need to realize that appreciation of the truth is under no grounds discrimination! Truth is truth, and if it puts some groups lower then another group in some way, then you must all accept it and move on! Protons will always have a positive charge and no amount of holy prayer will change that!
Anyway, as I said before, Women and men are different in many ways and no two people are equal. It is time that people abandon this foolish belief that everybody has an equal chance and is born equal, because it's been proven to be false. If you disagree and you desire to bring in your delusions and silly wishes then I will simply laugh. If you have fact that everybody is equal and we actually do live in a dreamland (key word is fact) Then feel free to prove it. Truth is truth.
