I got a program on my PC that lest me use my PS3 controller as a keyboard/mouse for gaming. So if I use it to play Halo on my computer, with a PS3 controller will the gods of games smite me, if so would sacrificing a thumb drive apeas them?

I don't know what you're talking about. There should be some ways to use the controller as the input device to control the game.

I honestly don't think they'll know you're using a PS3 controller instead of a mouse and keyboard so I honestly don't think it matters.

I don''t think there would be a problem.

Do you really care? I mean it is irrelevant for most people using a controller or mouse & keyboard.

If people genuinely give a fuck, then there's a problem somewhere.

THE controller is a disadvantaged instrument from the mouse and keyboard. Using a controller on the PC is fine, however the gods of gaming frown upon you for choosing the playstation controller over the vastly superior xbox 360 controller. The sacrifice of 10000 256mb thumb drives is demanded!!!

Is it motioninjoy? I use it all the time. Who would care?

This is the 'structure' MotionJoy (and most other emulators) use.
>You press a button
>Inputs into the program
>program is emulating a keyboard/mouse
>'relays' it to windows

Something like that, very low chance you can be caught using it unless the game is using some oddlyfuckedup anti-cheat.
Anyway, who cares if you use it?

If you're expecting to play Halo the same, or even remotely near the XBOX version/controller.... you wont.

Na, the gaming gods will smile upon your ingenuity.
