why do some girls let their friend look stupid?

There is this girl I know who live with this guy. Well they suppose to be dating but he using her like crazy. My best friend is her cousin. Everywhere the guy goes, she be right there with him. He even drive the cars but there's sexual benefits that entitle him to drive her around this long when she can drive herself. She take dozens of pictures and many people sit around and laugh at her. when I say she be everywhere with him, picture 2 people stuck together. The guy friends even know he using her. So today he brought her to the homecoming game and people looked as if she was his dog who follow him so freaking much. The friend knows this but is not telling her. he even walked back and forth at the game to see his ex girlfriend whom he is speaking about getting back with. why do girls who suppose to be your friend let this happen? She don't hang out with friends all she do is hangout with the guy 24/7 and the guy thinks its hilarious because she believe and do whatever he say. I felt sorry for her at the homecoming game because people looked at her like she was pitiful. all she do is drink and smoke now just because he do it. why do many girls see others getting used but just sit there? this girl even spend her paycheck on the guy and spend it on weave and makeup to impress him.

Well, the friend can't really do anything. What is she supposed to do? The friend can tell her what's going on, but ultimately it's up to her friend to decide what she wants to do with her life. She's not a little kid, she's making her own decisions and as much as her friends might not like it, the best they can do is support her when it falls apart.

its not a real relationship. hes getting money off her. with sex and other values its something like a prostituting thing. thats what sad about the whole thing.

Well I would say something to her. Nicely but I would mention it. I personally feel if I saw this I would have to say what it looked like to me just for her own info. I would simply say "Not to be rude or intrusive but it really looks like this guy is using you and if that's so you should know no one deserves to be used. Just felt I should say something." and leave it at that.

Assuming your a person who is not friends with her it will not damage any relationship between you. But it will likely get her to think about what's going on. This would best come from a passerby than a friend.
Her friend doesn't say anything because she doesn't want to ruin the friendship with a potential argument.

maybe the friend tried. and the girl who is getting used wasn't listening. That happens a lot because girls fall in love too quickly and believe that the guy they're with would never do them wrong.
