Hey I see my school counselor for my self harming but the issue is he said he would have to tell my parents that I did it again if I do it. To be honest my parents treated me horribly when they first found out and they are just coming around so telling them would be like smacking a lion that hasnt eaten in months. I told him not to tell but he said due to school policy he has to, I saw another counselor at my school though and shes more of a proper one and in saying that the only time she will tell anyone anything is if I say im going to kill someone or myself but yeah Iike seeing her more than the other guy but I Dont want to be rude to him. What should I exactly do?

Most policies are that they will only break confidentiality if you are putting yourself/others at serious risk such as killing yourself, however this may differ from place to place. Just tell him you feel more comfortable talking to your female counselor, that you're responding to her methods better or something, that's not rude that's reality. Some counselors will work for some people but not others, he shouldn't be offended that you have a preference to someone else.

What she said lol

That shit happened to me. A school counselor threatened me with that if I didnt do what she wanted me to so I played dumb like "omg plz dont" and then didnt do what she wanted and i let her call my mom and laughed in her face when my mom told her she didn't care BC o do it all the time. That counselor was such an idiot. I'll never forget the look on her face when my mom said that lol. I refused to speak with her again.

If you can't trust him then he is no good to you. Usually a counselor will only break confidence if a crime is involved such as suicide or murder as you said. Just be candid with him. He's a big boy, he can take it.

Good advice.
