Okay, so I have been working out and my chest is starting to get big. But behind my right nipple feels like a lump. It does not hurt. Will it go away? I'm 16 and have heard that it happens during puberty. So guys who are older, have you ever had this? Does it go away? Why is it there. What age did you guys get it? Does it mean that I'm going to have lots of chest hair? Idk I can't figure out our
Out.

I think a lump like that should be checked out by a doctor the same as when a girl feels a lump. Boys can get what look like small breasts during puberty, but I have not heard of a single hard lump being typical.

As far as i know, the lumps you are feeling are enlarged glands due to a condition known as gynecomastia. Gynecomastia is a VERY common condition that affects around 40% of guys through puberty. Gynecomastia is caused from a hormonal imbalance eg (testosterone and oestrogen in puberty) And it makes your nipples bigger, puffier etc. Don't worry Gynocomastia is very common and DOES go away as puberty finishes. I used to have those lumps but not anymore. I'm 17 by the way and had them from 14 to 16. And it has no relation to chest hair.
Just relax bro, it's normal. And don't stress.

I had this when I was younger (around 13-15). However, it was only in one nipple. It has pretty much gone away now.
