I have been smoking weed ( skunk&medical fire) off and on since I was like 17; mainly when I am stressed. I have tried to quit once before and lasted only like 3 months( Nov.22,2012-April 6,2013) I think I'm ready to try again. Any advice for me from ex users? Any advice is appreciated
Consider and tell me how valid this link tips are: http://m.wikihow.com/Stop-Smoking-Pot/Weed

I've heard that finding an activity in life that gives you a natural high or either something that you just really enjoy helps to distract you from the process of withdrawal and gives you something new to do instead of smoking

One thing to keep in mind is that marijuana isn't very addictive at all. Addictions are almost always psychological addictions, and withdrawal is hardly noticeable except in exceptionally heavy users (do you smoke 3-4 times a day, or just at night? Ever night?).
The only way to stop is to want to stop and to have motivation to stop. Ask yourself *why* you want to stop. If that reason is strong, it'll make the process easier.
There isn't really anything that can give you a 'natural high' comparable to the high obtained from cannibinoids and THC. You can certainly give skydiving a shot, but that sort of 'high' usually comes from different drugs. :p

Could you perhaps elaborate at all on why you would like to quit? It's difficult to make suggestions without having some level of understanding about your intentions.

I really have very little reason behind me wanting to quit except that I'm afraid that if I continue later on I would develop lung problems.... I enjoy smoking weed it helps me relax which I need to do now that I'm in college but I don't want emphysema or other health risks. What are some health risks are they the same as if I was smoking tabacco?

If your worried about getting lung problems just buy a vaporizer or make edibles.

Thought about that but I thought vaporizers only were for a nicotine alternative. Is there one that vaporizes/delivers THC? If so, please tell me what it is.

There is. I'm not sure what qualifies as 'promoting' illegal drug usage, but since these products are also perfectly suitable for use with tobacco and are entirely legal, I'll go ahead and point out a few.
One highly recommended vaporizer is the magic flight launch box (MFLB). It's a very small, portable device. There are also numerous different volcano vaporizers which are larger machines that vaporize a substance in one go and fill up a plastic bag with vapors. These are not portable and are very expensive. Unfortunately, vaporizers are in general quite expensive. The cheapest I've ever seen even a MFLB is $78.
Nonetheless, vaporizing is a healthier alternative regardless of what you use it for, so if lung health is a concern it might be something to look into.

I'd like something portable but your suggestion would be cool for the house

Vaporizers are also really simple to make. Just google it but dont make obe with a light bulb because they burst if you get them to hot.

If I wanted to quit smoking weed my first step would be to stop buying it.

I quit by doing running, going to the gym and just going out. Keeping yourself occupied is key.

I'm not the proper person to give you any advise because I couldn't quit myself, but I think the first step is staying away from your friends that smoke, stop growing/buying and do lots of sport.
