Some people seem to love em, others seem to hate them completely, what is your opinion on motion controls? Do you think they will be a thing in the future or will they be another failed attempt at trying to reach next-gen?

In my opinion motion controls are good as long as they aren't broken (like the kinect). The Wii/WiiU along with the WiiMotionPlus is still the best example on what motion controls can do despite the fact that the console might seem lacking. If the game isn't broken and can apply motion controls in an innovative way I will most likely favour it.

I am not the biggest fan of them. I am fan of keyboard/mouse/controller. It feels so much more comfortable for me. You can do much more with it and it's just simpler.

I prefer using a physical, traditional controller, but motion controls can be nice if used effectively.

I don't think we'll see motion controls used to their full potential for a few years yet. They need to work on perfecting the technology a LOT more.

It's a nice innovation.

It depends, the PS3 controller made good use of MC, with well implemented timing for them as well as enough moderation. I don't care for that kinect stuff though.

It's pretty fun to use, but I don't nor will I ever prefer it over regular controllers. Think of it as a 'luxury' for when your bored, rather then a necessity to the console experience.

They are fun for a while but the gimmick soon wears off. People are lazy so I don't think motion gaming will ever be big, but I may very well be proven wrong with the next gen systems.
