I would call the police RIGHT NOW.
It's not always best to jump to conclusions like this; sometimes dealing with the police right away when you're not in any eminent danger only puts you under more stress.
Connor, if you haven't already, personally I'd block him on everything and anything possible. I don't see the point in trying to just make up with him as you tried it once in the past and it didn't work, and this guy clearly doesn't deserve any more chances.
After that if he tries to attack you in any way (not even just physically, but say, making another profile where he isn't blocked or something like that), I'd contact the police. As you said the school isn't going to do anything as 1. it'd be putting itself in possible legal issues with this creep's parents (because they'd probably try to sue the school for accusing their angel child of any wrongdoings) and 2. all they can really do is suspend him. It's been long enough and you have no reason to put up with this anymore.

I don't think the school is gonna do anything, they'll probably make a conference where everyone will sit around and talk about their feelings and then suspend him for a couple of days. If he attacks you, call the police right away. He needs to understand that what he's doing can have some serious consequences.

Call the cops on his ass. That's harassment and intimidation and a threat considering hes attacked you.
You might want to call the police station and not 911 as its not an immediate danger and some places don't like 911 calls for anything but.
Never the less get on the phone with the police ASAP!
You can also get a restraining order if needed. He is harassing you and they can make him stop.

I would just tell him that you would call the police, then maybe he will change

If you do end up having to contact the police, they are going to want to know what you did in the situation. I think it would be bast to tell him in text (keeping a record for evidence) very clearly that he is harassing you and that you want him to stop and you want no further contact with him. Then block him. If he tries to override that, then you have grounds for contacting the police and you are clean on your end. The way it works n the US, is that if you have to involve the police to try getting someone to leave you alone, a judge will issue a restraining order. That makes it against the law for him to contact you in any way, and he will be arrested immediately if he tries.
This really sucks, but unfortunately this sort of thing happens a lot.
