I just noticed this the other day. Posts in the Introductions forum don't count to a user's post count. Why is that?

Because you can say hello and have endless conversations with every new member and really inflate your post count that way.

Most forums usually count introduction posts though -- I should be rewarded for Welcoming people... Why do you think I Welcome them in the first place XD

It's like the arcade, you can have so many spammy, one word posts in the introduction forum, and it'd be an easy +1 place. I don't think it'll be turned either, at least not now.

Um, I'd hope out of the goodness of your own heart? You shouldn't need a reward for welcoming people, lol.

In a way it's a pity you can't make it so a users first time posting in the forum counts, seeing as it's described as a "great place for your first post" but yeah, the trouble that would come out of it if the posts were counted :P

It's still a post regardless of whether it counts to your count. :P

But yeah, I do agree, and I've had a similar thought. It'd be neat if we could have it count one time, but unfortunately, that's not really able to happen.
