Basically after World War 2, Japan lost its military, depending on America and its own defense force for protection,
with an ever growing aggressive China across the sea, Japanese PM Abe is calling to amend its extreme pacifist constitution and upgrade its defense force to a full fledged military force kinda like pre wwii times, many Asian nations support this but China is totally against it, citing the atrocities from the past and both koreas are little "iffy" ......what's your opinion on this?......
The problem with this is you have the rightists in Japan leading this charge kinda like the Republicans in america, which really isnt a "bad" but they are more war hungry than other parties in japan but what I see being the really bad part, per-say, is that many of these supporters are "nanjing deniers"...like the holocaust deniers out west...so you could see that they are little extreme in their views, you also have the PM believeing that he was destined to bring japan back to its former glory which brings a bad taste recalling past leaders believeing in "destiny", what I fear and many others is that japan will try to instigate a fight over land rights with china which very well could happen and lead to ww3, forget the middle east, japan is complaining about china claiming disputed territories and ruining fishing routes but many Japanese locals say that they face no problems with chinese boats, I personally have no problem with japan having a military but prefer them not to be aggressive...
as we speak japan is starting to train marines (invasion force) for the first time since wwii,
japan is not the only nation with heavy US presence, you also have South Korea, austrailia, and other nations like Germany
