If I was given $150,000 cash, I would LOVE to have a Porsche 911. It is sporty and the most reliable German car. I custom built to be around that price tag. With that money I could buy three cars I really like. A fully loaded Ford Fiesta ST, a Mustang Shelby GT500 SVT package, and a fully loaded Lincoln MKZ. What would you choose?

I would spend it on a Tesla Model S and put the rest into saving.

I really like the looks of the Telsa S but I don't think I could do electric cars.

The air is toxic to breathe because of cars.

yes cars are a part of the air pollution problem but big business like oil refineries and power plants are an even bigger polluters and have made deals with the goverment so they don't have to clean up their act. another issue is deforestation. plants and trees produce oxygen that we need to be able to breathe. but we keep chopping down trees and building stuff instead of planting more trees to replace what we cut down. so don't blame it on just the cars.
If I had a 150K for a vehicle I'd buy a new or newer Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 4x4 with a diesel and a 6 speed manual. I'd invest some and put the rest in the bank.

I'm not just blaming cars. It is however a factor.

Where do the battery's in electric cars come from and go to after their lifespan of 5 years?
They're a lead battery and they end up in landfill. Really environmentally friendly.

I'd buy a 1997 Subaru SVX, and it'd be one heck of a car when I am done. Rebuild the engine, performance oriented. With that kind of budget, 650whp wouldn't be out of the question. 6 spd transmission. Electronic torque sensing center diff (switch from AWD to RWD or FWD and have control in between) brembo's. Awesome paint job, killer stereo, perfect interior. The way I'd want things, probably would only have $50,000 left, so I'd spend that on the current Subaru. New paint, interior etc. Obviously a Subaru guy.

Hi. I live in that city.
Anyways, I'd get a Mercedes SLK55 AMG and put the rest into savings. It has the one of the world's most efficient V8s.

I would choose the Porsche 911. Maybe consider a Cayenne? It would be at least a little more practical.

I'd buy an Infiniti Q50, probably the hybrid one, and then I'd save the rest of the money for a down payment on a house.

And I would probably buy an old impala or something, buy a little house, and save the rest. Set for life :)

His parents paid 24 grand for it, but he's in the process of paying them back for all of it.

That I like to hear. I don't have any problems with a loan, just $24,000 freebies. I totally believe that kids should buy their own cars or at least help pay for it. It teaches independence, self sufficiency, and you respect it more.
