I moved from Poland to England when I was 3 years old (12 years ago) and I speak Polish as my first language then Russian before English. I've always kept with my Polish past, often listening to Polish songs, reading Polish literiture and what have you although I have no major problems with my English (at school I just got a GCSE B in English Language!).

Thats not the point though. I know England should be my "home" now but lately I've been getting homesick. I travelled to back to my home city with my ex-girlfriend for a funeral when she was quite supportive. I just feel that I need to go back, most my family still live over there and although I do have English Routes (I'm an anglo-polski really, my mothers English Born), I feel homesick. Should I or is it just me?

If you feel homesick you feel homesick and that's okay, it happens to people. England doesn't have to be your home, sure you live here but that doesn't mean you have to treat it like your home, you've been in Poland for a long time and it's only natural to miss it. Do you want to go back to stay there or just for a vacation?

Feeling home sick is natural I feel home sick sometimes since I spent 11 years of my life living funnily enough in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. In my heart I know I'll never fully consider Australia as my home, I will always consider myself a Brit. You'll always feel home sick from time to time its totally natural.
