So, I was told recently that we're gonna be doing swimming in PE. I'm a bit nervous about it cause I assume we'll probably have to get naked with each other. I've never been naked with anyone before so am a little worried about what will happen.

Any advice?

what may happen is you and some other boys will take a shower. don't worry it might take some time to get used to it. just try and focus on yourself and washing up and pretty soon it will probably not seem so strange.

You dont have to be naked...you dont have to shower if you dont want to (at least in the US you dont). And to change, just change in a stall if you are that nervous. But its completely normal to be naked in a locker room. Nobodys gonna judge you.

I was very nervous about the locker room too. But with everyone being in the same state, it did not bother me after all and I actually enjoy it now. Advice is to be as casual and relaxed as possible. Sometimes someone pops an erection, we all get them and no one acts as though they notice.

At my school, we don't have a swimming pool or swim team so I can't say from experience. But, I wouldn't be too nervous because others that are having to do it first time are going to feel the same way. After a while, it won't seem awkward at all. It will just take some getting used to.

Most of the other people with you will also be nervous, so don't worry about it.

When I was doing Swimming in P.E. All the guys were chicken… they showered with their bathing suits on them and they changed in stalls. They all did that cuz they were the homophobic guys. "Oh your gay or I'm gay if I see another persons dick." -_- stupid.

When I took swimming in PE, we all showered naked before and after putting on our suits. Everybody saw what everyone else had, but would never admit they looked. Even if your late in puberty and still have a hairless boy dick, no one will every say anything or stare at you for fear of being called gay. After a few days you get used to being naked because you realize most of the other guys after puberty have pretty much has the same stuff. I think that most guys that have been through this would agree.

First and foremost. Don't change in the stalls. Those are the ones that do get made fun of. My advise is just get naked and it over with. Everyone is a little nervous at first, but once you do it a few times it all gets easier. Remember if everyone is naked, no one gets made fun of. After you get used to it, it all becomes fun. Enjoy!

I take swimming in my HS, your not forced to shower but i do it for health issuses, etc. Like people said change under a towel. Well good luck bro! Best wishes

At our school, none of the guys got naked for the shower, we would change into our swim trunks under a towel and we would shower in our trunks. This is in California, so I don't know how it works in England.

At my school, you are not forced to shower. If you don't want to do it, you do not have too. If you are that timid about changing in-front of everyone, either change in a bathroom or change under a towel.

Honestly, you have nothing to worry about because everyone is as nervous as you. Whether it is the biggest guy in the room to the smallest person who has not started puberty, you all are in the same boat. The way you deal with communal showers or having to change in front of others is to pretend no one else is around. If you think you are at your shower at home and just don't think about the others, then you'll be fine. Nearly all of the other guys are so nervous that they are trying to get in and out themselves, and I doubt anything will happen to you. Just act cool and like nothing is going on, and you'll fit right in and will have no problems.

You will be ok. Like everyone says the first time is scary, but after a couple of times it will be natural. Something like that happened to me when I first started to take showers and strip for pe.

If you are super worried there are stalls and you can get a shower at home. It really doesn't matter though I have a grower so it's kinda embarrassing but no one cares

You'll be fine. Just stay calm and get use to it. Or you can also considering changing your underwear under a towel. I'm ok at school.

When I shower in these situations, the trunks stay on. If you're that nervous and it's "open plan" when you dry off, change from your trunks to underwear in as small as time as possible

Most swimming pools have a place u can change in private. Don't worry about it. There will be loads of people unsure. Bet u any money. Also swimming in pe can be fun and boost self confidence for times like this. You'll be fine promise.

advice from a guy who has been showering with other guys for almost half my life...wear longer shirts that will cover your junk, then put on your trunks, or take them off...after swimming have your towel ready, slide trunks off then towel...when in shower find a corner one, face the corner so ppl cant see as easily...maybe cover your junk with your hand while showering
towel, dry off...again one hand holding your junk, then go from there...put shirt on first, then underwear

I had the same issue after P.E. and we had to shower. But then it was no big deal. Personally if you kinda show that you have issues with being naked in front of other dudes, it'll jus make things more uncomfortable for you and your friends will totally know that your having issues with it. Just be chill and shower with your friends like its no big deal. Once you've seen one guy naked, you've seen them all. And you have to be comfortable with it to.

I noticed your from England. I used to do swimming and we never showerd naked (just like we don't usually shower naked when swimming in public pool, well at least where im from in England anyhow!). When changing, there were some people who would strip naked and don't care about it, but i just got changed behind my towel (i wasn't the only one).

Don't worry, just don't look at anyone when your changing. Here nobody would make fun of the other people's bodies and stuff, and we showered totally naked. Don't make a big deal out of it. If you see the other guys changing with towels, do it too, if you see them changing naked, do it naked too. They won't notice you if you don't act differently.

I also live in the uk and when we did swimming we didn't have to get naked with each other you can get changed in cubicles but i wouldn't worry about it after time we used to take showers over time it becomes more comfortable.

I just think it's totally weird how many guys on VT seem to freak out about being naked in a locker room with other guys??? I and all my friends have been getting naked to change to swim at the YMCA as long as I can remember. And everyone strips and showers naked at school. About the only time I can think of anyone getting teased was once when a guy tried to change with his towel around him and he tripped while trying to get his suit off without losing the towel. Everyone was laughing and teased him for weeks.

Just get naked and changed and be cool about it. You'll probably help other guys get over their paranoia.

Well I am also 15 and live in the UK and go swimming every other thursday for PE and I don't see anyone naked, there is barley anywhere in the UK without cubicles for changing and if you really don't want to you can change in the toilets, if not you just wrap up in a towel and dry, then take off your trunks under your towel, dry, put on your boxers still under your towel and then get dressed normally, then there is no nakedness to deal with
