What is the most vital economic area to focus on? Economic efficiency or economic equality and why?

Note: I am referring to nations when I ask this, not individuals.

I personally believe there should be a healthy mix if you want to be stable, economic equality is the best but it is hard to achieve.

I haven't taken any economics classes, but obviously efficiancy is more important. If you're efficent, everybody's richer.

For example, if an American company is able to get cheap chinese labor, it's better off for both that now wealthier company, it's employees, and it's owners, but als the workers in China whom otherwise would be unemployed.

Well all the MDCs, and also countries that have large labor forces (like China). But if you want one country? Obviously the US. GDP is the general indicator of economic output, and ours dwarfs all other nations :)

I asked if in your opinion economic equity is better for a nation's focus than economic efficiency or vice-versa, not for you to say something kind of unrelated and then state the US is better than all others.

Sorry I read the question wrong; I haven't had any econ classes. See my edited response.

Both economic efficiency and economic equality are important. One shouldn't be prioritised over the other. Governments should try implement policies that provide a healthy mix of both.

Something close to economic equality should be made. A nation should also strive for efficiency, but equality first.
