Today my mom left before I was awake. When she came home I asked where she was she told me she was planting trees and handed me a pamphlet. My mother did something extraordinary for me. She planted 100 trees in an effort to create a Survivors of Suicide garden in my town. She showed me the city's plans. There are commemorative bricks for those who have died surrounded by basalt columns to commemorate the strength of those who have survived. Hearing this made me feel amazing, like people really care about me and that my mother gave up her morning because she is happy that I survived my suicide attempts. Next weekend I'm going to go help with the garden also and I hope it will be a place where I can be happy that I did survive and that it will remind me that I am strong.
