What are you're views on the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP)?
Or the North American Union?
NASCO Super Highway?

That would mean a superstate of some dimension. I hate superstates because the EU is becoming that. Its never a good idea.

That would be beyond a super power
The states is the only remaining super power
Canada is officially classified as an energy super power because of the sheer amount of raw recourses and power we have
Mexico is in trouble right now but if everything was integrated we'd pull it out of the slums and in a very short about of time you have 104 million added to the work force
The worlds most powerful military as defense
The northwest passage, said to be the new Suez Canal in the north
and just a massive land expansion Canada is the second largest country on the planet its population is that of California

Just ya
Beyond super power

Another thing though say USA and Canada's governments and system of government and general ways of doing things are just not compatible. Like Canada is well known for its free and health care... USA the opposite. So in that respect it would be very hard to integrate.

this simply cant be a good idea
if this happened, no doubt china + russia + maybe india would feel intimidated and join together
then probs some big eu formation would come out
anyone remember how ww1 started?

I know how it finished
we kicked ass

But I don't really like the fact that Canada would no longer exist
Country would be flooded with foreigners and Canadians would disappear, plus Quebec would have a shit fit
theres VERY few of us as is

You're a moron.

China + Russia + India?

Russia is one of the U.S.'s MAIN ALLIES.

China is their main IMPORTER.

India....well who cares :P

WW1 was started with an assassination fueled by nations having too close borders and all trying to expand, which has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.

I, personally, view the EU as the way things are going to start moving. Away from inidividual nations to a large collection of them working towards a common goal. Sounds wonderful to me, even though for North America to do that would be exceedingly difficult.

Large governments and unions are never good. The larger it is the less checks there are in powers than in individual countries.

The NAU and EU of today can be the World Government tomorrow.

You're a moron.

China + Russia + India?

Russia is one of the U.S.'s MAIN ALLIES. ahhh so thats why russias so tetchy about the U.S's anti missile system because they trust america

China is their main IMPORTER. and...

India....well who cares :P - You're right- only 1 billion people living there and one of the fastest growing economies in the world

WW1 was started with an assassination fuelled by nations having too close borders and all trying to expand, which has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. Erm no actually. A war was started between Serbia and Austria - not a world war because of an assassination - a world war was started because Serbia had a pact with Russia who had a pact with france who had a pact with UK and because serbia had a pact with germany and if i remember italy.

back on topic i just cant see it happening anyway with such large differences between the nations

Yeah, because they don't want screwed over. What nation wouldn't be when they've had such large past conflicts?

"China is their main IMPORTER. and..."

If we go to war, China's economy dies moron. Within a week they'd be killing off civilians like no tomorrow.

"India....well who cares - You're right- only 1 billion people living there and one of the fastest growing economies in the world"

That doesn't mean it doesn't have a LONG way to catch up. And you forgot the whole NO CONSIDERABLE MILITARY. What have they got to compete with even a Stealth Bomber?

And your last comment was just trying to play on words. Clearly if the WAR led to the WORLD WAR. The war caused the world war...think before.
