Just start eating healthier. Cut out the sodas (or switch to diet if you can't live without them. Did you know that a person who drinks on average one soda per day can lose 15 pounds in a year JUST by switching to diet, or to water? Without even exercising? Healthier changes can make a big difference), snack on fruits and veggies instead of chips, that sort of thing. When you do eat junk foods, limit yourself to smaller portions (if you'd normally eat 4 or 5 handfuls of chips, just eat 1 or 2). Try checking the nutrition facts, see how much a serving is. If you can, switch to 5 small meals per day (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner) as opposed to 3 big ones, as this will help speed up your metabolism so you burn more calories without any crazy changes. Try exercising too, but don't go crazy, ease into it. Check out seventeen.com if you're not subscribed to their magazine, each month they have a different workout created by some celebrity trainer or another, to help you tone up and stay in shape. But before you make plans to lose a ton of weight, go here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=336) to figure out your BMI. You might be totally normal, in which case it's great to want to be in shape, but you won't need to focus on weight loss. A good goal if you're going to try to lose weight is to lose 1 or 2 pounds per week. It might not sound like much, but it's pretty much the only safe amount to be losing unless a doctor is telling you to lose more. At 2 pounds per week you could still end up losing nearly 10 pounds per month though, which adds up to a lot.
Just be careful, a lot of teens go crazy trying to lose weight when they really don't need to. Being healthy is fine, but don't let a little extra weight make you hate yourself. People like you for who you are, not what you weigh. :)

Find a good combonation of eating healthy and excercizing (couldnt figure out spelling). Eat more veggies and eat things with lower carbs and fat cals. I am sure that you could start a mild diet that eliminates or lowers your unhealthy intake. Also, join a gym or go running everyday. Take a 30 min jog every morning or evening. Just make sure its more than 20 mins of continued effort. Thats when the fat comes off. Clean out your system by drinking cranberry and prune juices too! There are many possibilities. For dietary info try www.mypyramid.gov and for fitness info try www.fda.gov/loseweight! Good luck!! Anymore questions ask!

positive self talk. don't say to yourself you're fat, say positive things. and also, as you lose weight, your self-esteem will go up.
good luck!

the best thing to do is watch what you eat (eat healthy stuff) try not to snack on un-healthy stuff and go for a jog for about 20 mins most days of the week
then you will start to lose weight
