I used to be a nudist _Why puberty sucks for me

My brother and I live on a farm and we have always been bare when we are at home. Our parents arent nudists but they have never said anything and so most days of the week we are nude at least part of the day . In the weekend I hardly bother with clothes unless its cold or we have visitors.

Now that I am going through puberty and have started developing and getting pubes my mum says I am too old to be going round naked and have to wear clothes at home. I have even shaved off my pubes so as to make it so obvious but she still wnats me to wear clothes at home > It isnt fair and my brother who is 13 still gets to go nude round the place.

Its times like this i wish I wasnt going through it. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can make her see my point of veiw?

Sorry my friend but your mum does have a good reason to be telling you this. Really weird things are going to be happening and your mum definitely doesn't want to see that! Trust your parents and do a good thing for them :) even if you just wear underwear.

Why don't you agree that you can be as naked as you want in your room... but you have to wear boxers/briefs (whatever you wear) outside the room -- but still go topless and stuff....

Well that sucks but how old are you? I suppose if physical changes are happening you could ask her if you can just wear boxers around because then it's not inappropriate and you are more or less nude and then tell her when you are in your room you will be naked. I suppose if you live on a farm you can just of out and chill out of sight naked on the fields or whatever, there are loads of places you can be nude

Thanks for the replies. Im 141/2 by the way and maybe a little of a late bloomer.

I guess ill have to wait till im in my room to get naked now. Kinda hard to not be seen naked on the farm because theres usually someone home at least.

You've entered the process of turning into an adult, and running around naked all the time in public (in front of your parents is public) is something that adults don't do. You'll have to switch from being naked all the time to being shirtless all the time, with loose shorts or boxers covering your growing private bits. Just be happy, as there are a lot of parents that wouldn't let you even go around shirtless all the time.

I understand your comfort being naked but if you want to convert into a true teenager in the process of puberty, you will have to forsake some 'leisure'(as stated above)
It's weird to see a big boy naked walking around...it seems immature and unconscious of one's privacy.

Go naked as much as you can. Maybe when sees that it doesn't hurt anything, she will be a little forgiving. Ask her if you can go naked some of the time as long as your brother can still be naked. Just let her know how much you want to still be naked and free. Above all, don't give up.

I don't think so. It doesn't make sense that one would necessarily "have" to give up being nude just because they're getting older. If you feel more comfortable being nude, then you should fight for what you want.

But you do have to be mature about it. Ask your mom why she wants you to give it up first, and go from there. While you do have a right to feel comfortable, they have a right not to see this they don't want to see. Ask if it's because she doesn't want to see you go through puberty, or if she simply thinks you're being too old. If she thinks you're just too old, the explain that it's better for you -at least at home- to be nude.

I never walked around naked, the way you guys talk it was a normal part of your lives....very weird where I come from. I can't imagine, it's just hideous to me. In fact I had never heard of it before. What different worlds people live in.
