Okay. So if you didn't know already, I was in love with this guy. We dated for 4 months. Last week, I decided the relationship was just too painful for me, so I broke things off with him.

I was fine the first few days, then the sadness slammed me. I've been trying to make myself feel better by trying to change my lifestyle (my mindset being "okay, well let's move on and try to improve things), but by the time night falls, it feels like I'm making no process.

It's driving me nuts. I've been falling behind in school because I just don't want to do work. My diet has gone out the window. I just.....wish everything was the way it was before, when we were together and both happy......

That is awful, I am so sorry for you. You are probably feeling the same kind of depression, loss and grief as when a loved one has passed away.

Exactly this ^

I broke up with my last bf in April and I'm still not over him. so its gunna take some time to deal with your feelings and get over him.

As the other have said, give it time, it's normal to feel that way and you are doing great, changing your lifestyle, having something new can only help, i guess my adive would be focus on other things, keep your mind busy. Stay strong

I was bordering depression when the person I had a huge crush on for 4 years was finished school in June (a year ahead of me), and I knew I would never see him again. It didn't really affect me until late August/early September, because so much time passed without seeing him and there was a sort of 'absence' of where he should be in school. I found it hard to control the emotions, and I painfully had to let him go and move on. After a few weeks of doing that I don't get depressed every time I think of him or get a reference of him. It still hurts, but things are slowly getting better.

There are more people out there. Live with hope, accept what happens, and even if it takes a month of crying, move on. Life can be tough sometimes, but we have to move with the changes. Hope this helps!
*hugs*

Its just because you have been with him for a long time, and getting rid of him hurt you. If you still have feelings for him, you can ask him back out and explain the situation. Otherwise just try your best, talk to friends and others.
