Okay so this thread is about makeup, and I just wanted to see if people felt like I do about it. I don't like make up, I think girls should be able to feel pretty without wearing makeup. I don't really like when someone I with wears makeup because it makes them look different then what they look like without it, I'd rather a girl be herself then have to wear makeup. Thoughts and opinions?

I wear makeup. Yes I don't feel pretty without it. My face is red and bumpy and I sometimes have dark circles under my eyes. It's not pretty.

I don't mind make up, but too much of it, i don't like. and once i turn 18, i may be getting my own set, only skin color stuff for certain, not face related stuff, but still. Small amounts of it is what i prefer.

You may feel that way but that's not true, and let me ask you this, would you rather someone fall in love with you, or the make up that you wear? Or find you attractive for your actual looks or what you look like with makeup on?
Oh and let me add, I don't mind if they wear eye liner sometimes, but one of the worst things about make up is the fact that when you kiss a girl and you can smell blush or makeup in general x.x or if you kiss a girl on the cheek and you can taste blush.

I don't want someone to fall in love with me based on my face, I just want to look presentable in public. I just wear powder and a bunch of eye stuff and a little bit of lip gloss.

I put make up on because I feel pretty wearing it. I don't do it for any but myself. Plus, it's not like I overload on it.

I rarely wear any, I just don't really like it and I never thought it helped anyways.

Never been a big fan of make up on girls, its a big turn off for me, I like natural beauty. A little lipstick or lip gloss is OK though..

Well I like it when girls don't wear makeup, plus I find girls that don't wear make up more attractive anyways. I'm glad you don't though, because I don't think you need it at all, but that's my opinion of course.

I wear makeup. If I didn't... If I didn't... I dunno. People would probably think I was half asleep all the time. I just wear foundation and mascara. I don't see anything wrong with if it isn't caked on. And even if it was, that's their choice and it might stem from insecurity or such. Makeup shouldn't drastically change one's appearance, rather enhance particular features. I go without it a lot, but I still like to wear it when I'm going somewhere. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

I have a very sensitive nose. I can smell make-up a mile away. That being said, make-up masks true beauty.

I've been wearing stage makeup for pageants since I was 5 so I kinda feel naked without at least a foundation and some mascara. But I think I know the difference between just enough and a mask because I do both.

That's society for you. Besides, if a girl wants to wear make-up you don't really have a say in that.

Personally I don't wear make up and think girls look better natural. However, I can understand why they would because there's so much pressure to look perfect and have flawless skin. My skin is nowhere near flawless but I'd feel fake wearing make up. Of course, it's up to the person whether they want to wear it or not and it should be remembered that not all people wear make up to hide, sometimes it's just to express creativity.

I'll quote myself from a similar threads -
I'm not afraid to go out in public without it really, although I tend not to just because. I mean if I was running late and didn't have time, I'd live ya know.
I'm pretty simple. I've got like light blue eyes, and I'll do a black pencil (i dislike crayon and liquid so much) and a couple coats of mascara and leave it at that. It's not overdone and it's just enough to make my eyes pop and my face look cute(r).
I've never really bothered with foundation and all that stuff, color matching is just such a struggle for me and eh. If I have a couple spots, I'll live. Most people have them anyways. I don't need eyeliner halfway down my face and fake eyelashes and all this glitter and a face full of foundation. These kids on like beauty pageant shows wear more makeup than I do tbh.
(Also, I don't really do lipstick or lip gloss because I think the tastes are god awful. Once and a while I can manage a fruity gloss, but that's about it.)

I have tried make up but I don't like wearing it, it does enhance your looks and all but I don't want to become dependent on it to feel pretty. Also I heard that it ruins your skin if you use it too much

I am the only girl who feels really weird with make up? And sometimes uglier?

No I feel the same. I can't stand anything on me but eye liner and shadow. I only do those on special occasion to match what ever I'm wearing. I'm good at drawing on leopard print or zebra or what ever so its a fun mini art project for me that's on my face lol! I do it for my self to look at. Mostly for taking pics of my outfit and matching eyes.
Others ways 90% of the time I wear nothing. I hate foundation or powder or any of that stuff! Yucky! It feels weird, clogs my pours and NEVER matches my porcelain skin tone! Ever! I look best with none or just liner and shadow.

Yes, I wear makeup. I'm pretty self conscious of my face, so I sometimes contour it. I don't go really crazy with it, but I like to enhance my eyes and even out my skin/hide scars. I do feel kind of ugly without it, but whatchagondoboutit.

THIIIIIIIIIIIS, is so hard to find something that matches with my skin colour because I'm really white and when I put something on, it just looks weird on the neek and chest

I love make-up because it's an instant confidence boost. I feel transformed into the person I want to be with my make-up on. I'm pretty sure nobody would give me a second look without make-up on lmao (but that's not the point because I wear make-up for myself and myself only!)
I also believe make-up can enhance somebody's natural beauty, as opposed to hiding someone's true appearance.

Yep. Its hard to get a match if your light. Winter is even harder BC I turn practicly translucent lol. The only people who have me beat on lightness are some of the far far northern Europeans which are on one side of my family. The other side is the same but not so far north. So I'm very light. When i was younger my hair was nearly white. I'm surprised how light some black haired people can be even.

I agree, but a little make up isn't that bad. Personally I never wear any but a little is fine. But too much is..well too much, you shouldn't look like a clown..

I hate most makeup, the shit girls layer their face with is just stupid to me.
The only make up I wear is eye liner, quite a bit I have to admit but I've been wearing glases my whole life and only in the past year or so have I got contacts so it's kind of a treat for me to be able to see my eyes and yeah, it makes me feel more confident and I do look better with eye liner on.

I really can't stand people who think they are so above girls who wear make-up. Some of us aren't confident enough to go out in public with little or "natural" make-up. Some of us look like shit without a decent amount of make-up (especially me). Nobody has the right to tell girls how much make-up they should wear.
