Well, I have started a job and I have been on this forum for a bit and I want to donate(probably be a few months for my dad to allow me my own PayPad) and there are probably others that want to donate as well. Maybe have a donation page on the website or something, and I wouldn't worry about donation benefits. If people are going to donate then they can do it for other than having some donator rank.

Just my suggestion :)

Well, Admins, correct me if i am wrong, but under the current ownership, VT isn't accepting donations. IDR the reasons for it but, it isn't.

ImCoolBeans and myself are not accepting donations, for a number of reasons; the main being that it gets kinda dodgy and weird accepting all these donations from minors.

While we absolutely appreciate your interest, we're just not really in need of donations at this moment.

The other large reason why donations are unlikely to happen is when someone donates to a site they sometimes develop an over sense of "entitlement" and if you ban/infract someone who donates they're likely to bring up their donation and then things become messy.

I have also thought about paying for a server upgrade, but I'm 14 and assumed it would be illegal

thats why I didn't try to give a donation, I think it may be illegal and other site users may believe your trying to bump up the ranks to admin

I didn't mean that to be it's illegal, because it's not illegal. It's just messy in accepting money from users sometimes.

What Derri said is also true. Fact of the matter is we just aren't accepting donations, and at the moment, we won't.

it is a shame you don't, but I see the reasons and I guess it makes sense

I don't want any angry parents suing me for taking money from their 14 year old kids :P

That would tend to ruin your day, especially since you don't personally make a penny off of the site as it is!

Well ads would be horrible as usually they are linked to the content of the site (like 95% of the time it is linked to the nature of the site) so we'd have things like Russian brides websites and cheap Viagra simply because of p101 content. Gov Teen have ads and you see some freaky ones lol

Oh don't get me started there! Lol
That's why I made the educated decision to steer clear of GovTeen!

Most teens are still immature. And with money involved, things might turn messy(as mentioned above)
