Does anybody else have this problem? My Mum controls everything I do. I'm not even allowed to choose my own clothes to wear each day. We homeschool, and I can't even leave, because she controls all my bank accounts and I don't have a phone. Any suggestions???

Mention how you feel about this to her.

I have the same situation. It totally destroys me. I've already talked about it sometimes to my mum in a very subtile way, but she keeps doing it. You can either talk to her, too, or just try to survive it, or pretend nothing is really happening. Just live your life in a way that keeps you clean, because the problem it's not on you, it's on her.

You need to talk with her, eves if she doesn't stop doing it you need to try. Explain her how you feel and it's opressing you.

I tried explaining it to her, and I just got told that I'm being selfish and not thinking of her.

It sounds more like she is being selfish and not thinking of you.
Maybe it is best for you to keep at it, keep chipping away at more
independence.

You should tell them to give you certain freedoms, and if they see something is changing for the negative they can take it away.

Ask for some freedom and tell her to take it back if you misbehave.

That seems very hard - but I guess you could keep asking or at least try and discuss it.
one friend of mine had an issue with his parents - and he left a note in his room for his Mum to find - he just wrote about the issue and how it affected him - anyways part solved the issue soo maybe you to could think about that

You have to talk to her about it. Some reasons are
1. They want to try to raise you in the best way possible so when you move out, you are well prepared.
2. They have been with you since you were born and are sad to see you go and move out on your own.
You just have to talk to her and tell her your feelings about it.

I tried all of these and got backhanded for my trouble. Apparently I'm supposed to do everything she says, and not use my own brain.

I can't wear what I want to wear because she controls my bank accounts and bank cards.
