Miley is trying to traumatize you so hard you forget she used to be a disney star

She didn't exactly change her image, her Hannah Montana image was just an act for a tv show. You can tell the difference.
And say that about Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Zac Efron, etc.

I don't mind. People usually hate being typecast, so they can and will try to do anything to break their "role"

Because Disney make stars out of kids who aren't aware of the dangers of fame and end up selling out for more fame.

Disney makes out their stars to be good and wholesome people who can do no wrong, but once Disney drops them (usually when they turn 18 and are no longer "cute") they still have I-used-to-be-a-Disney-star stamped on their forehead so they'll do anything to shake that title off.

Disney ruins lots of childhood stars. Most of them you never hear again or like Miley Cyrus where you wonder what could have happened.. I'm kind of lucky that I didn't grow up into a childhood star.
