I recently measured my heart rate a few times, and found while sitting its about 75 bpm which seems reasonable, but when I stand stand up it jumps by about 35 tp 110 bpm which scares me. Is it normal for it to change that much going from sitting to standing, and more importantly is it healthy?
Also if it has anything to do with it I am 6'3"

To maintain a constant oxygen supply to the brain and upper body, standing does make the heart rate increase like a bitch. I know I have it too, where if I stand too quick my heart just goes 1000mph. When you stand the heart contracts which tightens the blood vessels, so causes the heart to beat faster. It's the brains way of trying to regulate what's happening inside of your body. It depends on how long it last when you stand up, if it's short I'd say it was nothing to worry about and that it happens. However, if it lasted for a long period of time I'd get checked out by a GP or a doctor, just in case.

It's probably normal. I'm sure going from sitting to standing like 25 times in a row would give someone a really good cardiovascular workout. I do know that not getting enough exercise can make the heart work harder doing simpler things. Also I believe being overweight can have that effect too.

If I stand too quick, I get a little dizzy. It happens to us all to different degrees, and the heart rate goes up a lot to compensate for less oxygen getting to the brain by pumping more there.

Same here, If I stand up too quickly I get dizzy my vision goes black and my hearing goes strange, and a fee times I've fainted from standing up quickly :/
Thank you everyone for the replies. I guess the next logical step would be to test my heartbeat after standing up for a while to see if it changes.

Okay, I did a bit more testing, and found after standing for a while it goes down to about 90 and while sitting for a while goes down to about 70. But I do not think I am fit since while running I get upto around 180 bpm :/

Not being fit does not mean not being healthy. This might help you out:
