Hey guys, kinda late for this but what did you guys think about the new A7X album Hail to the King? I found it really good, drums are eh since the rev died :( but the rest is great.

I agree that it's good, but I just want to put this out there - the guys wanted to strip it down. They're trying to have an old sound and old metal has simpler beats. just saying

A7X is an amazing band, they have been through some tough times just like one of my favorite bands suicide silence, mitch died but the band is still good, I miss mitch, and the same thing with slipknot too. Just goes to show that drugs end up destroying peoples lives that we enjoyed the hell out of :/

Avenged are not sellouts. I don't think you even know what that word means. Hail to the King was awesome, I really liked the classic metal vibe it had. And also, the drums were very simple because they were meant to compliment the simple big-sounding guitars. Arin Ilejay played the drums that needed to be played on the record, and what was needed wasn't like the Rev's insane drums on City of Evil.
